Bodegas Félix Sanz was founded in 1934 in the heart of Rueda, carrying on the legacy of centuries of tradition and winemaking in the area. At the winery, they dedicate their efforts to creating a range of unique and distinctive wines. Our winery continues the philosophy of founder Don Félix Sanz, creating wines with care, respecting the environment, and focusing on quality wines that express the characteristics of the terroir.
The underground winery, dating back to the 15th century, bears witness to the winemaking tradition in Castile and León. A network of galleries with mud brick arches at a depth of more than 15 meters houses wooden barrels built in bygone eras.
In this new phase, Albert Ustrell is currently responsible for the winery in Rueda, leading a great team alongside winemaker Pilar García-Duque, highly recognized in the area for her creativity and elegant wines. Her latest recognition has been her designation by Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter) as the best winemaker in the Rueda DO.

This year, the winery was recognised as the best winemaker in the DO Rueda by the prestigious Tim Atkin, who has promoted the improvement of oenological processes and vineyard care, which has been key to ensuring minimal intervention in the production process of our wines, which are appreciated for their quality and characteristics.
